HOW
DO I FEEL |
After the performance.......
|
|
|
Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda..... Its
so easy to say that. However, the fact is, the past is the past and you
can't change it. You can, however, deal with the present.
No matter what kind of performance
you have just had, you need to pay attention to what you are saying to
yourself. If it is right after the performance, you have a lot of adrenaline
flowing through your body. What ever emotion you are feeling, you may
feel it extra so.
|
|
| If you
have had a great performance, then congratulate yourself. Feel good for
what you have done. If you have had a bad one, then you have a little work
to do. The first thing is to look at how you talk to yourself inside your
head. You must be kind to yourself. Did you do your best? Did you give it
your "100%"? Are you perfect? Are you really?-- No one is perfect,
and if we were, then life would be so boring. You are exactly who you are
supposed to be. So what if you dropped a toss, or tripped and fell in front
of a lot of people. Yes it is embarrassing, but, unfortunately, I think
you might live through emotional pain. Life goes on, and you need to realize,
there are many things that make up your life. |
 |
 |
What you can do is try to work towards a better
future. If you made some mistakes, then you just got a nice gift. You
know exactly what you need to work on. Be glad. Some people have no clue.
The more embarassing the mistake, the more you can use it to make you
work harder. Just be careful not to push yourself to hard.
If you had a perfect performance, then you can
always try for two in a row. That is just as hard as doing the one you
just did. Just remember. We are different at each minute of the day. Every
performance will be totally different. We are living, breathing creatures,
and so are our shows. (They change as well).

Even though you have
worked very hard at what you do, please remember, a rifle is really just
a stick. A flag is just a stick with some material hanging off of it. Its
what you put into to it that makes it so important. Notice I said YOU. You
are the important part and you can't forget that. |
